ECI Summer School 2021: Water & Waterbodies - Session 1
Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Water is life and our land is dotted with several water resources. Water has self-rejuvenating capacity. All it needs from ‘we the people’ is social engineering towards sustainable ecosystem approach when we draw our services from water. Therefore, water management is often referred equivalent to society management. The One School - One Pond Programme, OSOP, Pondicherry is a classic example of working with local people for finding solutions for the local water management. We like to take you through the OSOP learning in this Summer School Workshop in order to encourage you to experiment with your local water worries using collective water wisdoms. Since, water has the connective capacity, we believe that this Summer School water pedagogy to be connective in terms of our relationships with water from water for utility to the water for life of all (species). With this Summer School Workshop, Engage with Water & Waterbodies, The Engaging Cities Initiative is returning. The Workshop is a Design Charrette to experiment engaging with the lakes/ ponds in your area drawing references from Puducherry example of community water management through the OSOP programme.
