This is the medium length version for the full film and more of details of the processes involved in the Eco restoration of the mines in Pandalgudi, a collaboration between RAMCO Cements and Auroville Botanical Gardens on 200 acres. The project started in October 2019 and this video was made 18 months later in February 2021. The project is ongoing and over the next 5 years will cover over 800 acres of worked out mines. Can we change? • Are we able to switch modes and chose to transform the world into one that we are enhancing and healing? • Life is about change, transformation from one state to another • Nature is a process of succession, one life to the next • And we now know that a shift in our attitude towards the environment is essential if we wish to maintain a balanced habitat where we can continue to thrive as a species. • The process of change is constantly around us, regardless of our awareness, or whether we actively participate. • The great realization comes when we understand that our actions can influence the direction in which the change will take us. • As with all moments of conscious change there will be leaders, who propose the course of action, but we, as individuals, can chose to embrace the change, and understand the potential, within our own sphere of influence, for actions towards the change. • And of course, as with all new courses of action, we can develop the skills and abilities available.
