Webinar Series, Part 1- Preparing to conduct a menstrual health education session for the first time
In March and April 2021, Eco Femme hosted a 4 part peer learning series titled: Menstrual education in rural communities - Expanding the conversation, widening our lens! This is the first recording in the series on the topic: Preparing to conduct a menstrual health education session for the first time. This would be a great place to start if you are setting out to conduct a menstrual education session in a new community for the first time and want to understand more about: how to create a safe space what are the key messages to be conveyed how to effectively structure a session This series was created to support menstrual health educators in building the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver effective menstrual educational sessions to women and girls in areas where learning is not accessed online - typically rural, tribal and low income settings. During this session Lauren and Kathy from Eco Femme were joined by a fabulous panel of experienced educators who had wonderful ideas and tips to share based on their extensive experience of doing this work in some really diverse and sometimes challenging settings.
