Auroville Unity Pavilion | Live Concert | Art For Land - ARPAN 2021
A beautiful evening of performances organised by Art for Land 'Arpan' - celebrating the spirit of giving opened to a packed audience at Unity Pavilion, Auroville on the 12th of feb, 2021. 12 outstanding performing artists came together to offer their performances for the annual fundraiser - Art for Land, which brings together artists, patrons of art and the community together every year in a giant dance of generosity to raise funds and awareness towards securing the missing lands for Auroville. The artists who performed this year were exceptionally talented in dance and music and the evening was so mesmerizing that the audience did not move at all even as the concert came to a close! Amongst the performers were Aneesh Raghavan doing a solo Odissi performance, Saroja performing Bharatnatyam, A Kathak Kaleidoscope by students of the very talented Yogini Gandhi. An exceptional hindustani classical music concert by Mandar Karanjkar on vocals, founder of the Baithak foundation from Pune -accompanying him were his wife Dakshayani on Tanpura, Saumitra Kshirsagar on harmonium and Pushkar Mahajan on Tabla. The evening was a grand success as the whole community came forward to support the beautiful concert in so many ways and each one went home with a spark of generosity in their hearts!
