Last Week in Buddha Garden August 1st - August 7th 2021
This week, finally, we found someone willing to come and cut all the dead leaves from around some of the many Palmyra trees in Buddha Garden. We concentrated on cutting the leaves from the trees that were blocking light from some of our vegetable beds as well as those near the communal kitchen. This video shows you how it was done and gives you some idea of the huge amount of leaves that we had to clear up as a result of this work. The trees look stunning in the morning light. This week was the start of the Tamil month of Aadai Masam which is an important planting month in the Tamil calendar.
