Mix the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time and whisk until well combined. Sieve together flour, baking powder, salt, and spices. Combine well. Mix dates and curd until well combined. Prepare the cake pan by greasing it with butter. In a greased cake pan, pour the batter into the pan and bake it for 35-40 minutes at 190 degrees Celsius. Butterscotch sauce In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients and cook over medium heat until the sauce comes to a boil. Cook it for 2 to 5 minutes.
