And while no one was beheaded in the making of this record, it does signify a return to a certain type of creative violence, and one that is most often palpable in the early stages of things- abstract art, modern classical music, rock n’ roll, Delta blues, jazz, and basically all human civilization. The album will be available in early to mid October exclusively through the bands website at bandcamp. com and will feature a free download of its first single “Tusker”, a foray into the experimental that clings to familiar notes and structures that stick with you because you have felt them before in the commercial success of such jazz icons as Miles Davis.
