"JOYEUX NOEL " / 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' (English Version of my video)
"JOYEUX NOEL" / 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' is the title of a beautiful film put out in 2005 by French cinematographer Christian Carion to bring to public attention the even more beautiful event that had really happened on the Front on December 24th evening, and also Christmas Day itself: a spontaneous Truce was declared between the troops present there in their horrible trenches, from the German, Scottish and French armies respectively... without asking for authorization from their higher ups the Generals safely celebrating in their own respective Headquarters. For this 2021 Christmas, the crisis situation in Auroville itself happens to be another reason why this film is particularly relevant, showing us what the simple way of Love can accomplish between people.
