The youth of Auroville is only requesting that the due processes are followed and request your full support towards a peaceful, inclusive resolution of the conflict. Auroville is based on the evolutionary vision of Sri Aurobindo, and endorsed by UNESCO as an experiment in human unity, Auroville is recognised for its achievements in the fields of afforestation, renewable energies, sustainable architecture, educational practices, collective living and social enterprise, and for offering space for spiritual development. YOUTH OF AUROVILLE needs your support to uphold the ideals of Auroville. _______________________ REPORT OF 6th Sept, Dream Harvest Event On 6th of Sept 2021 Youth Center, in collaboration with Youth Network,7 organised a meeting to collect & harvest wishes, dreams, projects, ideas & aspirations from the wider community of Youth in Auroville. The event was attended by 50+ individuals comprising children, young adults of Auroville, Volunteers, Newcomers & Future aspiring Aurovilians. We started the event by sharing a brief introduction of history with HT cable line and then presented maps of what is the current ATDC’s proposal in Youth Center/Bliss forest Area, what is Crown Right of Way & what infrastructure lays down in the service corridor. After a brief round of questions and answers we went into a Group Activity of Dreaming together. Participants were divided in smaller groups and encouraged to discuss, express opinions and come up with ideas collectively as to what they would like to experience in the Youth Centre/Bliss Forest Area & how can we develop Vocational Training & Higher Education in Auroville. The atmosphere of the gathering was creative & fun. We put on some nice music, got snacks & started connecting with each other. Once the ideas were brewed, a representative from each group came on stage and shared all the brilliant wishes & dreams. There was a beautiful energy where everyone felt comfortable to express, ask questions and a common understanding of taking responsibility & leading together was agreed on. The Youth Center team would still want to hear MORE from people who couldn’t attend the event. If anyone feels motivated to share their dreams, please email us at youthcenter@auroville.org.in. By the end of this week we will compile everything & see what is the way forward. The event has been recorded and we will share the video with the community.
