Joy Of Building Casita Trailer #Short
Building Casita - Adapting to an unpredictable world and embracing impermanence Surprised by the news of a pandemic (and the unpredictable lockdown timeline), and blessed by the news of our coming daughter, we decided to build a house where home-child-birth would be comfortable, and where the new soul coming to us could live and play. With only 5 months left before the expected day of birth, we took up the task with optimism. Trying our best to embrace the JOI (Joy of Impermanence) missions of DIY & impermanence we worked hard through those months. Having permission to build ONLY dismountable residential structures by L'avenir we gave up our dream of building a Cob house and decided to use the technique used by Jhonny in many communities of Auroville: a steel structure on pillars, finished with wood. To our own surprised we finished the house on time (4 months approximately) and moved in asap with the blessings of the midwives team of morning star. Soon after a cyclone hit the region, and the day after Leela was born. The hard work finally payed off when we could rejoice watching Leela enjoying the place full of art and playground areas, meant to develop her perception and motricity at best. All this while the world was still in lockdown. We want to express our sincere gratitude to all the friends, volunteers and workers who helped to build Casita at Anitya community - Joy of impermanence. https://ift.tt/g0Rcy8aW6 https://ift.tt/6LEufJ3B8... https://ift.tt/nElFu1HPD https://auroville.org/ #anitya #auroville #auroraseyefilms #intentionalcommunity #ecovillage #documentary #naturalbuilding #joyofimpermanence
