Ayurveda for Beginners with Dr. Be In Auroville Class 9 | Auroras Eye Films
The aim of these classes is to understand the basic principles of Ayurveda and how to apply them on a regular basis to nurture a healthy life, to understand better imbalances, symptoms or diseases and how to apprehend them to rebalance energies in the physical, vital (emotional) or mental (intellectual capacities). The focus is given on understanding the different doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha and how they manifest in the physical, vital and mental and how to rebalance them when they create symptoms at any of these 3 levels of consciousness, through making changes in the food intake, life style and relating to oneself or others. Berengere graduated in Ayurvedic medicine from Gujarat Ayurved University in North India. She went to Jamnagar (India) to study this knowledge in a more clinical and scholarly manner at the Gujarat Ayurved University with 2 Ayurvedic hospitals attached, doing her Ayurveda internship in departments such as general medicine, panchakarma, surgery, ENT, gynaecology, obstetrics, and paediatrics. After 6 years of study, Be came to Auroville to serve at Santé, Auroville Institute for Integral Health for consultations and research and in the forest in Pitchandikulam and Baraka to tune with the plants. She helps her patients to understand where the disunion lies, which Dosha or nature in the body – (Vata/Air, Pitta/Fire or Kapha/ Water & Earth) creates the imbalance, the symptoms and eventually the diseases in the body and mind. Be’s personal focus is tuning with the plants, to understand their qualities, and how their energy can be transmitted for healing without sacrificing their life. Ayurveda is a universal knowledge that has always been and will always be as long as life shines in a being. It was revealed through meditation to Rishis in the heights of the Himalayas about 5000 years ago and compiled in 600BC into Charaka Samhita, the pamphlet on general medicine and Sushruta Samhita, a text on surgery. Ayurveda’s holistic approach to the human being is based on uniting soul, mind, senses and body. This is the requisite for health. The aim of Ayurveda is preventing (to keep the healthy one healthy all along the days, seasons and life), healing (an imbalance or disorder) and realising oneself (to feel one with oneself and the universe). According to Ayurveda the primary cause of imbalance is the loss of connection with the divine, the loss of feeling one with the universe and the surroundings. This disunion creates longing and suffering which will lead to spiritual, mental and physical disorders. Understanding what causes a disunion in the self gives a sense of one’s personal responsibility in the imbalance. https://ift.tt/58LEKR7 https://ift.tt/WC14wGH https://ift.tt/lJ2DiLZ https://ift.tt/ZLrUoYs #Ayurveda #Auroraseyefilms #auroville
