Happy, sad, constantly complaining? How would you categorise Indians?
The World Happiness Report 2022 came as a surprise to many, as India was ranked the 11th unhappiest country among 146 nations. Most of India’s neighbouring countries, as well as several war-torn countries like Ethiopia and Libya rank above New Delhi in the Happiness index. So, we asked people in various Indian cities about how happy or sad they felt. The World Happiness Report uses both secondary and survey data to arrive at the rankings. The parameters include GDP per capita in terms of Purchasing Power parity, life expectancy, level of social support, generosity, perceptions on corruption and freedom to make life choices.
