Last Week in Buddha Garden September 5th - September 10th 2022
With more rain and sun this week we focused on preparing beds ready for planting. This meant clearing beds, after which we went and got glyricidia to cut and put on the bed and then a trip to the forest to get leaves for the final mulch. We prepared three beds in the Souryan garden and started on a fourth. This week we had a surprise festival called ‘Onam’ which was organised by Vimala, one of our volunteers, who comes from Kerala where Onam is celebrated as a harvest festival. There were beautiful flowers, delicious food (all cooked by Vimala) and a special swing decorated with flowers. Everyone joined in and many thanks for Vimala for enabling us to participate in this festival.
