Last Week in Buddha Garden May 15th - May 20th 2023
Its been the hottest week of the year so far and work has felt hot and slow, but we’ve managed to do a lot of occasional jobs that we don’t normally do. Like mending tray covers, adjusting the soil sieve, putting in an irrigation system suitable for large and small papaya trees and mending the net over the chicken yard to stop a chicken from escaping. Watching everyone on the video do these jobs has made me realise what a practical and resourceful group of volunteers we have in Buddha Garden at the moment! Checking for what is growing in Buddha Garden we found tiny snake gourds and a small pumpkin as well as jackfruit which looks as if they will give a good harvest relatively soon. Altogether a very interesting week.
