Our Safety & Boundaries Awareness Program!
The issue of sexual harassment was prevalent across the globe, and Auroville was no exception. In light of this, YouthLink took the initiative to host an awareness campaign on sexual harassment. To follow up on this campaign, we recently hosted a networking event to connect all units and services working in this field to work collaboratively towards education and awareness in the community. From this event came the (Safety & Boundaries Awareness) SBA program, which linked all services within Auroville that worked towards addressing issues related to sexual harassment. SBA's goal was to increase awareness, build emotional support, optimise prevention, and provide education within the community, and to ensure that Auroville was safe for all. We were excited to offer an awareness program from 10th to 23rd April, featuring a variety of events and workshops.
