Spreading the Blessings of Buddha Garden
This video is a departure from normal as it is all about the farm in Malaysia that I am helping Ashok set up. I feel it as part of ‘spreading the blessings’ of what we do in Buddha Garden to as many people as possible. At present the land, which is very steep and hilly, is covered with oil palm trees at the end of their 20 year life on land that is eroded and exhausted. We have been exploring with various people how to grow oil palm sustainably as well as mapping out the boundary of the farm and planning how the farm will be developed in the future. It is very interesting to be doing what we do in Buddha Garden but in a different climate with different crops. I am really enjoying the challenge.
