In Buddha Garden last Week - January 21st - January 28th 2024
Pigs# insectpestsontheaubergine# chickengames# familyvisit# The pigs came in one night at the beginning of the week and to our surprise dug up a roccolla bed. Pigs don’t like roccolla and they didn’t eat any of it. The plants just lay on the soil overnight until we replanted them and hope that the harvest won’t be too affected. We’ve had a lot of volunteers come work with us this week which means that we have managed to get a lot of planting done. We also got out our heavy-duty grass cutter to start working on a very weed infested piece of land which we are going to use to grow sweet potatoes. There will be an electric fence around it to keep out the pigs! Finally two of our volunteers created a compost heap in the chicken pen for the chickens to play on. They love it.
